Junior Scientists

Doctoral Studies

At Hochschule Geisenheim University, junior scientists conduct their research within a structured doctoral program.

The promotion and support of doctoral candidates is a key focus of our university, and we provide a lively, interdisciplinary environment within which they can successfully attain their doctoral certificates.

Alongside our research competence and technical expertise, we offer junior scientists comprehensive qualification opportunities, counselling, and other resources. These support services fall under the aegis of our Graduate School, though any questions relating to the organization of doctoral studies can be directed to the Doctoral Office.

Hochschule Geisenheim University has established strong partnerships with other institutions that make joint supervision of doctoral theses possible. Typically, a candidate’s first supervisor (Erstbetreuung) is from Hochschule Geisenheim University, and the second supervisor (Zweitbetreuung) comes from the partner university.
