Opening of the Application Portal: Winter Semester 2025/26

The application portal for the bachelor's degree and the master's degree programs for the winter semester will open in May, 2025. 

You can access the application portal here. Please keep in mind that the individual programs can have different application deadlines, so make sure to read the information below carefully. We strongly recommend submitting your application as early as possible, as this leaves you time to submit any missing documents if needed. Any applications submitted close to the deadline must be complete.

Please note: The information on this page is only for applicants who have acquired a university entrance certificate (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung) in Germany. If you have not acquired a university entrance certificate in Germany, please visit Application Information for International Applicants.

Application Deadlines for Bachelor's Degree Programs

It is only possible to enroll in a bachelor's degree program for the winter semester. 

The application documents for the degree programs listed below must be submitted to the Admissions Office by September 30, 2025 at the latest. Please note that all degree programs at Hochschule Geisenheim University require a pre-study internship in the given field, except for the  Food Chain Management (B.Sc.) and Food Safety (B.Sc.) degree programs. Please visit the individual webpage for your chosen program for more information.

Application Deadlines for Advanced Semesters

Admission to an advanced semester of a bachelor's degree program is possible in both the summer and winter semester.

In order to apply for admission to an advanced semester for the 2025/26 winter semester, please submit your application documents through Hochschule Geisenheim University's online application portal by September 1, 2025 at the latest. Admission to an advanced semester is possible for the following degree programs:

Please note that all degree programs at Hochschule Geisenheim University require a pre-study internship in the respective field, except for the Food Chain Management (B.Sc.) and Food Safety (B.Sc) degree programs. Please see the page of your chosen degree program for more information.

Application Deadlines for Master's Degree Programs

In order to enroll in a master's degree program at Hochschule Geisenheim University, you will need to meet the degree program's requirements and apply within the application period. Some applications may need to be made through one of our partner universities, and the application deadlines can vary from university to university.

If you have a German university entrance certificate, you can apply for the following master's degree programs in the 2025/26 winter semester via Hochschule Geisenheim University's online application portal:

  • Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning (M.Sc.) – first semester, or admission to an advanced semester: August 1, 2025
  • Food Safety (M.Sc.) – first semester, or admission to an advanced semester: August 1, 2025
  • Horticultural Science (M.Sc.) – first semester, or admission to an advanced semester: August 1, 2025.

Please note: international students interested in the Food Safety (M.Sc.) program must submit their applications for the 2025/26 winter semester by August 1, 2025. Those interested in either the Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning (M.Sc.) or Horticultural Science (M.Sc.) programs have until September 1, 2025 to apply.
