Construction Developments at the University
General Information
With its new and exciting research projects and wide range of degree programs, Hochschule Geisenheim University is constantly evolving. The same applies to our campus, which is currently undergoing some substantial changes, including the development of five new buildings. Some of these buildings have already been completed, while others are still in the process of being constructed.
- The Food Safety Building and the Logistics and Sustainability Building were put into operation in December 2023. The new Lecture Hall Building has been completed and put in operation in December 2024. The Germanwide unique Beverage Technology Center has been inaugurated in May 2025.
- Construction is in full swing for the Viticulture Adaptation Center for Sustainability and Climate Change (VITA). Thisis set for completion end of 2026.

Lecture hall building with a 657-seat auditorium and four seminar rooms on the upper floor seating 300 more.
The Beverage Technology Center offers completely new opportunities for teaching and research in the areas of wine and beverages, for example with a new type of production hall and a representative sparkling wine factory for the degree and training courses in beverage technology, as well as partly for the degree courses in viticulture and oenology and international wine business.
