Wine is a fascinating cultural asset with deep economic, historic, and social significance. However, the industry behind it is currently facing a number of daunting challenges. What those challenges are – and how the industry can best respond – are at the heart of Hochschule Geisenheim University’s new German-language podcast, ‘Wein im Wandel’.
In the podcast series, wine expert and the university President Professor Hans Reiner Schultz will be talking with scientists, industry experts, and practitioners about current issues, trends, and possible future developments in viticulture and the wine industry.
“In addition to describing changes in the field, our podcast will be concentrated on solutions and ideas. This includes ideas that are already in play, as well as ideas that haven’t been put into practice yet, but should be. The solutions that are being developed in academia, as well as those evolving from actual practice. We also want to reach non-expert listeners too, and are aiming to make the podcast accessible and engaging for a wide audience,” explains Professor Hans Reiner Schultz.
The production of the podcast is being supported by VEG – Geisenheim Alumni Vereinigung e.V. Technical and visual support and postproduction are being provided by Woody T. Herner/Woodworks Studio.
