The Geisenheim Alumni Portal was officially introduced last month during a global livestream with more than 50 participants, including alumni from Switzerland, the United States, South Africa, and South Korea. The portal offers a central platform designed to support international exchange and connection and joins the previously established alumni meetups in Georgia, Armenia, and Kosovo as part of the university's aim to expand its international alumni network. 

Building this network is part of an international alumni project at Hochschule Geisenheim University that is funded by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). Live connections to Tbilisi, Yerevan, and Pristina offered participants fascinating insights into local activities and clearly demonstrated the vibrancy of the Geisenheim alumni community worldwide.

A particular highlight of the evening was the live pilot episode of a new international alumni podcast, hosted by Frederik Schulz and Katharina Mybes (Hochschule Geisenheim University) with guest Grigol Bekoshvili. Future events will feature Geisenheim alumni from around the globe, sharing their career paths, personal experiences, and the role their studies in Geisenheim played in shaping them.

The event marked an important step toward a long-term, globally connected alumni network. This is especially significant in the International Wine Business and Internationale Weinwirtschaft degree programs, where Hochschule Geisenheim University has long welcomed a large number of students and graduates from all over the world.
