To mark the 60th anniversary of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), ove 150 leading enologists from around the world convened in Milan on November 17, 2025 to discuss the future of the enology. Professor Monika Christmann and Dr. Andrii Tarasov of Geisenheim's Department of Enology were there to represent Germany at this high-level international meeting.

At the event, Professor Monika Christmann, head of the Department of Enology at Hochschule Geisenheim University, participated in the central panel discussion on the future of enology. She also presented the Krähennest Riesling in a masterclass, which was met with great enthusiasm by her international colleagues. The wine held its own convincingly alongside renowned international top wines, including those from Antinori and Sandeman.

The event once again highlighted the international competitiveness of German enology – both in theory and in the practical production of top-quality wines.
