Are you a student at Hochschule Geisenheim University wanting to eat lunch in the canteen with your kids? Not a problem!
Thanks to the Studentenwerk Frankfurt's FamilyCard, you can purchase a kid's portion at Geisenheim's canteen for just €1. The offer covers one warm meal for children up to the age of ten who have a least one parent studying at the university.
You can apply for the FamilyCard during the Admission Office's regular opening hours simply by presenting your child's birth certificate and your enrollment certificate.
Family Room
Our Family Room offers students and employees who are parents a space to spend time with their children on campus. The Family Room provides a flexible, short-term solution for parents at the university facing childcare shortages or other exceptional circumstances.
The room is located on the ground floor of Building 1000; you can receive the key by phoning one of the following contact persons directly:
Play Area and Portable Toy Boxes

The play area located in the university library offers another space for parents to relax with their children.
Students and employees with children are also welcome to loan out a portable toy box or DVD player if they need to entertain their kids while completing their tasks on campus. Please note that children must remain under their parent's supervision while spending time on campus.
The portable toy boxes are suitcases filled with books, toys for various ages, CDs, drawing supplies, and more, and can be wheeled to your work station or even to lectures or seminars – though we'd ask you to please arrange this with your instructor in advance! The DVD player comes with headphones as well as various educational and entertainment DVDs for different ages.
Two toy boxes and the DVD player are currently available to be loaned out during the university library's regular opening hours.
