We have just launched our new university-wide ‘ID Project’, which aims to explore Hochschule Geisenheim University's unique identity in detail and use the findings to refine our brand image. After 12 years as the only ‘Hochschule neuen Typs’, or new type of university, in Germany, it's time to take stock of who we are, what we stand for, and where the university is headed.
All employees and students at the university are warmly invited to get involved in the project in the coming days and weeks.

Take Part in the Survey and Get Involved in Our Workshops!
You have the following opportunities to get involved in the project:
- Internal survey: Click here to complete our anonymous questionnaire, available for all staff and students (7-10 minutes, available from June 16 – July 14, 2025)
- Internal focus groups/workshops: Take part in our workshops, which will focus on in-depth discussions of our self-image as a university. Each workshop will last four hours and take place in small groups of around 6-8 participants. We currently have three total focus groups planned as morning sessions (9:00–13:00) on June 23–25. If you are interested in attending, please register with a quick e-mail to kommunikation(at)hs-gm.de.
- AG Marke: As of July, a branding-focused working group, ‘AG Marke’, will be established, which will meet for two hours every one to three months in order to discuss more detailed questions surrounding the ID Project and collect ideas for the future introduction of a modernized brand identity. Individuals are free to contribute according to their interests and available time. If you are interested in taking part, please write an e-mail to kommunikation(at)hs-gm.de.
We’re eager to hear from as many staff and students as possible: your ideas and opinions matter. This is our chance to shape our identity together – don’t miss the opportunity to get involved!
