Marius Drechsler successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled "From supply chain and planning problem analysis to decision support: Development of a model formulation for the optimization of production and procurement planning in horticultural value chains" on November 17, 2025 at Hochschule Geisenheim University.
His Doctorate was supervised by Prof. Dr. Andreas Holzapfel, Department of Fresh Produce Logistics, Hochschule Geisenheim University, Germany.
His thesis has been evaluated by Prof. Dr. Andreas Holzapfel in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Alexander Hübner, Supply and Value Chain Management, Technical University of Munich and Prof. Dr. Manuel Ostermeier, Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Augsburg, Germany.
