We warmly congratulate Thi Thai Dang on the successful defense of her doctoral dissertation, “Global Value Chain Analysis of Special Crops in Vietnam – Linking Smallholders to Global Markets,” which took place at Hochschule Geisenheim University on August 11, 2026.

The doctoral research was conducted as part of the Geisenheim–Giessen–Marburg Doctoral Platform in cooperation with Faculty 09, Agricultural Sciences, Nutritional Sciences and Environmental Management, at Justus Liebig University Giessen.

The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Dr. habil. Jon Hanf (Hochschule Geisenheim University), Prof. emeritus Dr. Rainer Kühl and Prof. Dr. Christian Herzig (Justus Liebig University Giessen). The third review was conducted by Prof. Dr. Achim Spiller (University of Göttingen).
