The ERDF project is developing a digital infrastructure for the transfer of key performance indicators and sales data to measure and improve the economic sustainability of German wine producers.
It consists of two main project components.
In the “Digital Business Analysis” component, solutions are being developed to import existing external digital data sets (annual financial statements, business analyses, etc.), enabling business data to be digitally imported into the Geisenheim database and used to provide consulting services to the wineries.

In the “Digital Sales Analysis” component of the project, the Geisenheim Sales Analysis database—which is unique worldwide—is made accessible through big data automation, providing producers, associations, educational institutions, and policymakers with regular, up-to-date, and decision-relevant information on wine sales analysis.
