Teaching and Research Garden

Bringing Sustainability to Life

In 2020 Hochschule Geisenheim University opened a teaching and research garden on its campus. With an eye to its committment to sustainable resource use and improving the quality of urban living spaces in a construction context, the Professorship for Construction Technology in Landscape Architecture has built key structural elements on the site together with students.

Under the direction of Professor Andreas Thon, a range of key topics are presented in the garden as a supplement to the main course content on construction engineering in landscape architecture. The teaching and research garden serves as green infrastructure for research-based learning at Hochschule Geisenheim University.
