AI generated

At 4 p.m. on July 3, 2025, inaugural lectures for two new professors at Hochschule Geisenheim University will take place in Lecture Hall 50. Professor of Organic Viticulture Dr. Johanna Döring and Professor of Construction Operation and Management Dr.-Ing. Thomas Muschkullus will introduce their work, offering guests a fascinating insight into the central questions shaping their respective disciplines.

The university warmly invites all interest parties to attend, or to follow the lectures online over the livestream.

Professor Johanna Döring will speak on the topic of ‘Organic Viticulture – What Does It Mean Today and Why Are We Driving It Forward?’

Her lecture will focus on the interplay between soil, biodiversity, and quality, and will demonstrate how organic viticulture as a holistic system can contribute to sustainable development in viticulture, and and why this approach is more relevant today than ever.

Professor Thomas Muschkullus's lecture is titled „When the Machines Take Over – Robots on Construction Sites“

Despite its economic importance, the construction industry remains cautious when it comes to digitalization and automation. This lecture will shed light on the areas in which robot-assisted processes could play a role in the future, and what that means for planning, construction management, and project management in landscape architecture.

The lectures will be followed by drinks in the foyer of the new Lecture Hall Building.
