Hochschule Geisenheim University warmly invites all interested parties to attend the inaugural lecture of two new professors in the Department of Open Space Development. The event will take place on January 15, 2026 at 2:15 p.m. in Lecture Hall 50, and can also be attended virtually via a livestream.

In a shared lecture, Ole Saß, professor of landscape architecture, design and communication, and Sebastian Sowa, professor of landscape architecture, design and experimental spaces, will offer an insight into their academic focus and their planned teaching and research activities at the university.

The inaugural lecture will focus on the tension between courage and humility in landscape architecture, particularly when landscape architects seek to create spaces that respect the existing environment, context, and users.

As always, the lecture will be followed by refreshments in the foyer of the lecture hall building, providing an opportunity for personal exchange.
