Barbara Richter M.Sc. Receives OIV Research Scholarship

Hochschule Geisenheim University’s doctoral student receives financial support for her research on strategic cooperations in the wine sector.

 

Each year, the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) awards research scholarships as part of their strategy plan to support priority programs. The OIV is an intergovernmental organization of scientific and technical nature with recognized competence for its work concerning vine, wine, wine-based beverages, table grapes, raisins and other vine-based products. The scholarships are awarded for specific post-university training courses and provide financial support for a period between 6 and 15 months.

Barbara Richter M.Sc. has been chosen to receive the 2020 research scholarship worth 10,000 euros. In 2019, Richter successfully completed her studies in Wine Business (B.Sc. at Hochschule Geisenheim University and M.Sc. at Justus Liebig University, Giessen, in cooperation with Hochschule Geisenheim University).  She is now pursuing her doctoral degree under the supervision of Prof. Dr. habil. Jon Hanf at the Chair of International Marketing Management at Hochschule Geisenheim University. In her doctoral project, Barbara Richter focuses on the strategic management of supply chains with a special emphasis on collaboration strategies in vertically coordinated value chains using the example of the wine industry.
