Our world is undergoing digital changes – not only regarding the emergence of new technologies but also new requirements regarding students´ qualifications and thus, teaching.
In the working world of tomorrow, today´s students will have to show not only flexibility and networking ability but also active media competence. We prepare our students to be able to meet these new requirements by providing interactive and collaborative teaching formats. The learning facilities we offer also contribute to adapting our teaching to our heterogeneous student body with their diverse needs.

ILIAS is an open source platform that is used by many universities and colleges as a means to support their digital learning facilities. As opposed to Stud.IP that allows users to upload and download static documents (files in pdf and Word formats, etc.) ILIAS is intended to be used to support interactive and collaborative learning, e.g. by offering online lectures, interactive tests, tutorials and instructional films, blogs, message boards, etc.

The Adobe Connect webinar tool enables lecturers to do online teaching, independent of their location.
The webinar is a live and analogue eLearning experience, which gives lecturers and students the opportunity to teach and learn together and at the same time. The German research network DFN provides the tool to Hochschule Geisenheim University free of charge. If you are a lecturer and would like to use Adobe Connect, please write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will contact the DFN so that you receive access to the system. Please make sure to do so at least 4 weeks before the start of your webinar.
