Dear students,
The University Sports Team has put together a little sports program for the summer semester.
We are still in the planning stages for some courses, that’s why you cannot register for them yet. As soon as the courses are scheduled, we will send you an email to let you know when you can register (via StudIP).
Registration for all courses takes place in Stud.IP . If the course fees are not transfered on time, however, the registration will be cancelled to make the place available for someone else.
Hochschule Geisenheim University assumes no liability for damage, theft or otherwise to property and facilities used by University Sport.
Students are covered by the university accident insurance only when taking part in official University Sport courses which take place during the regular times and which are led by the official trainer. The same rules apply to competitions in which HGU is officially taking part.
Accidents must be reported immediately to the University Sport Office.
Other situations are not covered by the university accident insurance.
Hochschule Geisenheim University staff attend sports courses outside working hours and thus at their own risk. The same applies to guests.

The German General Association for University Sports (adh) is the umbrella association for university sports in Germany. More than 190 institutions of higher education with approximately 2.4 million students and 550,000 employees are currently members of the adh. In addition to representing the interests of its members, the adh also focuses on competitive sports on a national and international level as well as qualification and knowledge management.
The OLYMPIC CENTER HESSE(Olympiastützpunkt Hessen) is a service institution to support top-class sports as part of the German Olympic Sports Association, and is funded by the Sports Association of the State of Hesse. The Olympic Center Hesse offers services to the top olympic associations and their national team athletes in Germany, 12 of which are part of the so-called focal point support. It includes, among other things, medical examination, coaching services in terms of biomechanical and performance diagnostical support and, last but not least, career coordination for athletes, i.e. career counseling. The Olympic Center Hesse also runs the boarding school "Haus der Athleten". Within the regional district, approximately 400 national team athletes from more than 20 different sports are currently being coached.
