VITIS-VINUM is a double Master's degree program, jointly delivered by a consortium of the renowned Universities of Torino (on behalf of the consortium Torino, Milano, Palermo, Sassari and Foggia), Udine (on behalf of the consortium Udine, Padova, Verona and Bolzano) and Geisenheim.
The program focuses on vine cultivation, winemaking and wine marketing, as well as quality management, analysis and certification. Besides learning about new enological procedures, students are taught how to develop effective marketing strategies – which makes them much in demand as consultants by companies in the wine sector.
Graduates of the VITIS-VINUM German-Italian double degree program are ideally equipped for managerial and leadership responsibilities in nationally and internationally active companies.

The VITIS-VINUM program provides graduates with a solid and comprehensive academic training in the fields of viticulture and enology, quality control in the production and processing of grapes, as well as economics and marketing. The course teaches high-level knowledge and skills to enable you to work efficiently in the wine industry.
Modules offered at Geisenheim University in third Semester are:
First-year classes will be held at the University of Torino or the University of Udine, and are conducted in Italian. Italian language skills of at least CEFR B1 (at the time of application) and CEFR B2 (at the time of enrollment) are therefore a requirement.
Second-year classes will be held at Geisenheim University. Whereas semester 3 offers in depth knowledge in current research and industry topics semester 4 is reserved for the master thesis. The master thesis covers the elaboration of an adequate and independent scientific research project implementing scientific methods in a given time. It can be carried out in connection with an experimental research project.
