Message from the President regarding the Corona Virus (L)

Dear students,

Below you will find the most important rules and regulations regarding quarantine and early release from quarantine of Covid-19 infected persons as well as their contacts

 

§ 6 para. 1 CoSchuV: Quarantine of Covid-19 infected persons (irrespective of their vaccination status) with a positive Covid-19 rapid test or PCR test

  • 10 days of self-isolation. An official order to self-isolate, issued by the public health authority, is not necessary.
  • You may end the quarantine period after 7 days on the basis of a negative rapid test carried out by an official testing station or a PCR test.

§ 6 para. 2 CoSchuV: Quarantine of members of the same household of Covid-19 infected persons (i.e. partner, parents, children a.s.o.)

  • 10 days of self-isolation. An official order to self-isolate, issued by the public health authority, is not necessary.
  • The quarantine period can be ended after 7 days on the basis of a negative rapid test carried out by an official testing station or a PCR test.
  • Pupils and small children may end the quarantine period after 5 days with a negative test (carried out by an official testing station).

-       There are some exceptions to § 6 para. 2 part 1 and 2 CoSchuV:

"The obligation to self-isolate according to sentence 1 does not apply to

1. Vaccinated persons according to § 2 No 2 and 3 of COVID-19-Schutzmaßnahmen-Ausnahmenverordnung (COVID-19 Protection Measures Exemption Regulation). 
This includes persons,

a) who a triple vaccinated (who have received the booster shot) according to § 2 No. 3 letter c of the COVID-19-Schutzmaßnahmen-Ausnahmenverordnung, or

b) who have received their second dose within the last 3 months

Persons who have recovered from COVID-19 according to § 2 No. 4 and 5 of the COVID-19-Schutzmaßnahmen-Ausnahmenverordnung and

a) who have received a first vaccination no more than 3 months ago or a second vaccination (vaccinated and cured) or

b) whose infection was less than 3 months ago

 

       Persons showing symptoms are in any case obliged to conduct a test
