A group of 18 HGU students travelled to the Czech Republic to attend a four-day event in Lednice, which was associated with the VinoEuro2022 – the European Winemakers' Football Championship. They were joined by guest students of the Mendel University in Brno, Faculty of Viticulture and Enology. The trip was a great opportunity for our students to exchange experience, strengthen their professional network, take part in excursions to local wine-growing regions and attend numerous events (VINO EDUCA) with national representatives from eight European wine-growing countries. To round off the trip, a football match was organized between the two universities, which the FC Campus – HGU’s university sports team – won 2:0. The program was a tremendous success and will be intensified in the future.

In the VINO EDUCA conference in Mikulov, the Geisenheim scientist Andrii Tarasov Ph.D. gave a lecture via video link.
