Department of occupational health and safety

Department of occupational health and safety

The department is divided into the two areas of occupational safety and health management.

The area of occupational safety is concerned with university employees working in a risk-free professional environment, by instructing department heads regarding safety, carrying out risk assessment and providing operating instructions, as well as carrying out inspections of workplaces in consultation with the occupational physician.
The task of health management is to optimize the workload of employees and to strengthen personal resources. By creating good working conditions and quality of life in the workplace, the health and motivation of employees can be improved. The objective of occupational health management is an analysis of the current situation and deriving measures from it, such as behavioral prevention (for example, organization of health days) and structural prevention (for example, improvement of ergonomics in the workplace).
