The Energy Day has been organized for the last seven years as a cooperation between the Competence Center for Renewable Energy, Rheingau-Taunus e.V., the working group Lokale Agenda 21 Geisenheim and Hochschule Geisenheim University's Energy Team. It also awards the Dr. Werner Hoffmann-Prize for sustainable energy projects, which, this year was won for the second time, by one of the university's graduates.
