Practical experiences in the bachelor's degree program International Wine Business

Thank you, project partners! A short note on how important the direct link to practice is for the students of the degree program International Wine Business.

The summer semester 2019 at Hochschule Geisenheim University is now coming to an end, and the students of the International Wine Business degree program gained a lot of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

We want to thank Calle Nilsson from Concealed Wines in Stockholm (Sweden) and Johannes Winz from Gonzales Byass (Spain) for their support and contribution to the learning experience of the students. The two companies contributed to the study program International Wine Business in a very practical way. Calle Nilsson spoke to the students about the Swedish market as well as the role of the importer in the market and exchanged personal experiences with the students. Gonzalez Byass was a project partner in the module ‘Marketing Project Southern Europe’.

Concealed Wine (www.concealedwines.com) is involved in import activities to Sweden, Norway and Finland and an upstart project called Winetourism.com (www.winetourism.com). Winetourism.com is an online booking service for winery visits and tastings. Gonzales Byass (www.gonzalezbyass.com) has a long and passion-filled history dedicated to the world of wine.

A "thank you" note from Prof. Jon Hanf and Manuela Ortner, M.A.
