The official ceremony will take place on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 6 p.m. at Institut des Sciences de la Vigne et du Vin of Bordeaux University (Villenave d’Ornon, France), and will be attended by representatives of IVES' institutional members.

Following the successful launch of OENO One, an international scientific journal with an impact factor* of 1,479 in 2016, the International Viticulture and Enology Society (IVES) is now publishing its second open access online journal entitled "IVES Technical Reviews - vine and wine". The journal is aimed at professionals working in fields of viticulture and enology. IVES is an international association of universities and research institutes carrying out research on vines and wine and committed to publishing high-quality scientific and technical articles in an open-access format. IVES Technical Reviews are supervised by an editorial board consisting of more than 50 industry professionals and researchers. Each published article is first reviewed by a researcher and an industry professional, a new departure in this context. Another special feature of the journal is that in order to ensure international coverage, each article is published in six languages (French, English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and German).

"After Hochschule Geisenheim University and the University of Bordeaux were instrumental in planning and publishing OENO One, launched in 2016 and is now supported by 14 institutional members from ten countries, we are now taking the next step with IVES Technical Reviews. This is where practical information published in technical journals in the member countries is translated into all of the languages of the participating institutional members before being made available to them. In this way, people in the industry can get information that was previously virtually inaccessible, unless they happened to be a linguistic genius!", says Prof. Dr. Hans Reiner Schultz, President of Hochschule Geisenheim University.

The journal is hosted on a portal set up by the University of Bordeaux and can be accessed here: https://ives-technicalreviews.eu.
