Answers for Tomorrow's World

Our research covers both applied and fundamental aspects. We focus on topics in plant sciences of special crops (grapevines, fruits, vegetables, ornamentals) and their multifaceted production and processing areas. This includes research on aspects of nature conservation, beverage sciences, food safety and food analytics, logistics of fresh products as well as economics associated with these areas. Further focal points of our research are related to planning and development of cultivated landscapes as well as urban regions. For a more detailed overview of our research projects please visit our research platform.

Geisenheim University has unique opportunities to conduct scientifically recognized and applied research along the complete value chain of special crops. In doing so, we benefit both from a strong network of national and international partners and our own excellent research infrastructure in Geisenheim.
