Vita

Ernst Ruehl holds a degree in agricultural sciences with a focus on plant production after studies at the University of Stuttgart Hohenheim. He obtained a PhD from the University of Stuttgart Hohenheim, Institute of Horticulture in 1981, followed by five years as Research Scientist at the University of Stuttgart Hohenheim. From 1985 to 1991, he worked as Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO, Division of Horticulture at Merbein, Vic., Australia. Since October 1991 until 201, he was heading the Department of Grapevine Breeding and is holding a professorship for grapevine breeding and propagation at Geisenheim University. Ernst Ruehl is a board member of the Association of German Grapevine Nurseries.
